This Stock Just Exploded Over 200% If You Bought in March 2020

Singapore’s very own Sea Limited, the parent company of Southeast Asia game provider Garena, and the online e-commerce market, Shopee has risen dramatically. 

Due to the Pandemic which has made consumers to stay home more than usual, online shopping and online gaming has push this young tech start-up to dizzy heights. 

I'm still shocked why there is not much buzz here in Singapore trending about SE. These are kind of stocks to take note when there is a crisis. 

Like I document earlier on the stocks in my portfolio, I was watching it since last Dec 2019. An important factor that had my eye on it was there is significant financial backing from Tencent back in 2017. 

Just like SEA motto of "connecting the dots", I was connecting the dots. I kept tabs on it and was watching very closely since Dec 2019. 

The chance came when it nosedive in March 2020 and I went in.

APPLE (NASDAQ:APPL) announced its 5th time to split the stock. All the doom and gloom the economy is promising to bring, tech stocks are just bursting at its seams. Why You Should Never Invest in Oil & Gas Companies Long Term

As far as portfolio is concern, we should always regards Oil and Gas companies as risky investments for a really simple fact: They are very dependent on the Oil Price.  For this reason only, we should pay close attention to these companies which can generate considerable profits in a cycle.  Things to take note: 1. Invest them within the cycle 2. Don't be greedy and buy and sell according to the plan. 3. Stick to the plan.  Let's collate the data for the past stock prices of the 2 O&G companies against the WTI data.   The portfolio strategy used: 1. Based on the WTI, we experience the Oil Price cycles peak to peak within a 3 to 4 year periods.  2. Have a target set of how much profit you want to get with the cycle of 3 to 4 years. For this portfolio we target 20%. 3. Only buy reputable and well establish O&G companies. You can consider drilling companies but they are way too volatile for most investors.  4. We can see 2 extreme cases here in Schlumberger and Transocean.

The recent announcement to demerge from its parent company Sembcorp Industries made waves in the Singapore Investor Community. #SCM #sembcorpmarine #SCI There were many blogs reporting on how the recapitalisation would happen. All these opinions and advice were focus on the the demerger and speculation on whether SCM would merge with another shipyard. And there were rumours that privatisation were on the cards. What if you currently have 10 lots of SCM shares? What would you do when the rights issue goes through? Here are 3 strategies to focus on: 1. Exercise to buy the Rights Issue shares 2. Sell all at market value 3. Sell partial at market value and buy with remaining Rights Issue shares with the cash of the sold Rights Issue shares.
